Religious Conflicts

Students whose religious practies prohibit the writing of exams on religious holidays can apply to have their religious conflicts accommodated on an alternate date.

The following steps must be followed:

  1. You must apply to the Examination office at least three weeks prior to the start of the exam period by submitting the following application form at the bottom of this page. This allows us time to contact the instructor, set a new date and book an exam room.
  2. You must also print and fill out and sign the Declaration to Secrecy form and bring it to Student Central in the Administration building.
  3. You must also provide a CURRENT letter of reference from your religious authority and bring it to Student Central in the Administration building. The letter of reference needs to state that you are a member in good standing and a brief explanation of why and which dates you cannot write exams.

Once all the forms and your letter of reference have been received and approved, your instructor will be contacted and we will set an alternate date for you to write your exam which will be as close as possible to the actual date of the exam. You will then be contacted by the examinations department and informed of your new date.
