How to access your notes
You can access your notes on
blackboard from three places:
- PAWS main page
- DSS tab on PAWS
- https://bblearn.usask.ca/

1. Accessing Your Notes through PAWS
- Log onto your PAWS account
- In the top right hand corner you will see a series of icons. Select the “Course Tools” Icon

- You will be in "My Courses". Go to bottom left of page to "Course List for...". Click on "Course Assistants and Guests..."
- Which will take you to the main Blackboard page
- Once here you will select "Other Courses/Organizations" and DSS Notetaking Progam

- Please jump ahead to the "Course Materials page in Blackboard" section
2. Accessing your Notes Through the DSS Tab
- Log into your PAWS account
- Go to the DSS Tab
- Scroll down on the left of the page to the bottom of the Notetaking channel
- Select “access your notes from blackboard” This will take you to the "Course Materials" page on Blackboard

3. Accessing your Notes Through the Website
- https://bblearn.usask.ca
- Select “log in with U of S NSID”
The Main Blackboard Page
- This is the main Blackboard page.
- Once here you will select the link for “DSS Notetaking Program” which is found under “Other courses/organizations”.
- The "DSS Notetaking Program" link will take you to the "Course Materials" page in Blackboard

- Click on the term
- For your interest you may select the “Tips and Tricks” link at some time
Course and Subject Folders
- Listed folders are for all of the possible courses and subject areas
- Scroll down until you find the folder for your course and subject area
- For example, if you are taking ENG 110 you would select the "ENG-English" folder

Course and Section Numbers
- Inside the course folder, you will see a list of course and section numbers
- Make sure that you are choosing the right section of the course as there might be multiple sections for that course

List of Notes
- Once you have selected the folder for the course you are in, you will see a list of the notes
- *Blackboard Learn does not let you know when new notes are posted. You must go into the folder to check for new postings
- To download the notes click on the file name *(usually the date the notes were taken)

Save Your Notes
- Once you have downloaded your notes save them to a file on your desktop for easy access
- *Notes are removed from Blackboard Learn at the end of the term
- *If your exams are deferred and you need all your notes: Save your notes to your desktop file before the end of the exam finals period for the semester. All notes from all courses will be removed and irretrievable from Blackboard Learn by the end of the exam finals period each semester
