Loan signing

Important Things to Remember

  • Students must be registered full time for the period of study on their loan document. To be considered a full-time student you must maintain an enrolment of 60% -100% of a full course load (40% for students with a permanent disability). At the University of Saskatchewan, full-time undergraduate students are those who are registered in 9 or more credit units per term (6 credit units for students with a permanent disability) during the Fall and Winter terms.
  • Students who are registered in classes by their College (students in the Colleges of Law and certain Certificate programs) must be registered in their classes in order to have their loan documents signed. Please confirm through PAWS that you have been registered in classes.
  • Students wishing to use an alternate method of payment for their tuition (i.e., MasterCard) must make payments before their loans are signed to avoid having tuition remitted off their loan.
  • Out-of-Province students should bring their notice of assessment (indicating the student loan amounts they will be receiving in Term 2, if applicable) when they get their loan signed.
