New Student Welcome Luncheon
11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.Marquis Hall - Private Dining Room
All students beginning classes in January 2012 are invited to a complimentary come-and-go welcome luncheon on Friday, January 6, 2012. Simply register online for the luncheon and you can stop by anytime between 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to enjoy your complimentary lunch!
Sign-up for a guided campus tour being offered from January 4 to 6! Find out where your classrooms are located, how to navigate the underground tunnels, where the libraries and computer labs are located and the best places to study on campus.
Guided campus tours will be offered on January 4, 5 and 6 at:
10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
At the luncheon, you will:
- Meet other students and U of S staff
- Learn about our student support services and programs
- Find out how you can get involved to make the most out of university!

International Student Welcome
1:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.Education Building, Room 1004
The International Student & Study Abroad Centre (ISSAC) welcomes all new international undergraduate, graduate and exchange students! We will assist you in your transition and settlement to the University of Saskatchewan and the City of Saskatoon.
1:30 p.m. - Student Check-in (Education Building, Room 1004)
2:00 p.m. – Welcome & break-out sessions (cultural adaptation & settlement information)
3:45 p.m. - Break
4:15 p.m. - Get Connected! – learn about ISSAC programs, services and important information for new international students (Immigration & Saskatchewan Health information included)
5:00 p.m. – A Day In the Life of an International Student
5:45 p.m. - Supper
7:00 p.m. - Optional Activity: Huskie Women’s Hockey Game. U of S vs Lethbridge (free for students). (Rutherford Rink)
International Students Tip for Success:
With your admission letter you should have received a Pre-Arrival Guide. Please make sure to review this guide or visit the International Student and Study Abroad Centre's website for complete arrival information. The guide and website both discuss important information regarding health coverage, accommodation, free taxi ride from the airport or bus depot and information on how much Canadian funds to have access to.
