St. Thomas More College Welcome

The St. Thomas More (STM) College Welcome gives STM students  a sneak peek at campus before Orientation officially kicks off on September 1. You get a free lunch, meet your with your STM House (small group), tour around STM and the university, and get some tips and advice from upper year students about how to be successful at university.  And of course there will be prize give-aways too!

Greystone Scholars Sneak Peek

This event is exclusive to Greystone Scholars! Join your fellow Greystone Scholars for a sneak peek into the life of a U of S student. Meet the members of Club Greystone, learn about campus, and all the ways to get involved in your first year. Afterwards, enjoy a free dinner followed by some sports and recreation.

College Welcome and Lunch

Spend some time getting to know your own College! You'll learn more about College expectations, get prepared for a solid academic experience and have some fun with the College staff and student societies.

College of Agriculture and Bioresources - Join the College of Agriculture and Bioresources in an informative tour of the Agriculture Building and campus farm facilities. Highlights include visiting world-class labs such as the Bioprocessing Centre and Phytotron. Learn where the AgBio classrooms and Academic Departments are located. Get yourself oriented in the greatest college on campus!

College of Arts and Science - The roots of the University of Saskatchewan began with the College of Arts and Science. It is the oldest and largest college on campus. With over 60 study areas, your education has the opportunity to be as diverse as you want it to be. This session will guide you through the choices necessary to begin your first year of study and make it a successful one. This session will also look at financial matters, support services, Arts and Science collegial policies and challenges around first-year transition.

Edwards School of Business - Welcome to Edwards! The morning will be a great opportunity to meet your classmates for the next four years as well as get introduced to some of our academic standards, support services, meet some faculty and staff and learn about upcoming Edwards events. The Edwards Business Students' Society will be taking over in the afternoon, introducing the student societies and pairing students up with a 'big buddy' for the remainder of the day. See you there!

College of Engineering - You will be paired with an upper year student, 'Big Buddy', who will spend the day with you and who will help show you our campus! You will also have an opportunity to meet members of the Engineering Student Centre, receive important information about textbooks, calculators, student computing, laboratory scheduling and you will be provided with tips on how to successfully complete your first year in Engineering.

College of Kinesiology - Come to the PAC! Sit in our lecture theatre, meet faculty and staff and find out some important information as you begin your classes. The Kinesiology Student Society (KISS) will also be there to tell you about all of the great events that will occur over the course of the year. The first big event is Big Buddy/Little Buddy in conjunction with the Huskie football game opener. Meet some of your fellow classmates and get a tour of the PAC.

Library Tours

The Quick "Where Is?" Tour - introduces you to the services and facilities in the Murray Library. Features a 10-minute demo of the library website and a tour of the Murray Library. 

The Advanced "How Do I?" Tour teaches you advanced catalogue searching techniques, how to search online databases, how to access online resources and the services and facilities in the Murray Library.  Features a 30-minute hands-on session in the computer lab and an optional tour of the Murray Library.
