This self-defense course is a comprehensive 12-hour program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for women. It begins with a twp-hour session on bystander intervention with the remainder focusing on escapes from basic holds and proper blocking and striking techniques. All of our instructors are provincially certified in defensive tactics, with some classes being taught by martial arts experts in various fields such as Karate, Tae Kwon Do and Muay Thai Kickboxing.
This course is not meant to be a martial arts program. The expectation is to teach each student basic ways that they can protect themselves and escape from a physical confrontation. This class may also be used as an introduction to students who may be interested in pursuing further martial arts training.
There is physical activity as part of this course, so students are asked to dress appropriately.
Private courses are available for groups ( 8-12). If interested, contact us directly.
Registration is open to all women (members of the public included).
