Bursaries

October 1st is the deadline to apply for most bursaries offered by the university. Bursaries are usually given to students in financial need, though some bursaries may have additional criteria. Recipients will be notified by early February.

Scholarships

June 1st is the deadline for a large number of scholarships on campus. Scholarships are normally granted for academic achievement or leadership experiences. Recipients will be notified by the first day of classes.

The RBC Capital Markets Scholarship for Women

Value$5,000 during the applicant's third year of studies. Scholarship recipients will also receive an offer of employment for a summer analyst position at RBC Capital Markets in our Toronto or New York office (1 position available). Recipients will be paired with a senior professional from RBC Capital Markets, who will serve as a contact and mentor.

EligibilityTo be eligibile for this award, an applicant must:
  • Be a Canadian Citizen
  • Be a female student in her second year of full-time undergratuate studies, enrolled in a business, engineering or economics program at a university in Canada
  • Intending to continue their full-time undergraduate studies for their 3rd year
  • Minimum cumulative 3.5 GPA/80%, or equivalent, diverse extra-curricular participation, and community involvement
Selection CriteriaInitial selection based on essay, resume, and applicant's academic record. Shortlisted application will be invited to participate in a telephone or in-person interview at RBC's Toronto office, with pre-approved travel expenses paid by RBC Capital Markets.

  • A 300 word personal essay in support of their candidacy, explaining why the applicant is interested in a career in banking and finance
