
Tamara Kenney-Sharpe
Gordon Oakes Red Bear Student CentreTamara was born and raised in Saskatoon, SK with ties to Ile-a-la-crosse, SK. She was raised in a traditional Métis home with a large family. Tamaras education consists of qualifications from the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies and is currently enrolled in the College of Edwards School of Business at the University of Saskatchewan. Tamara has built her career around helping others, where she has focused on building meaningful relationships and creating a positive, safe environment. Her work consists of being the welcoming face of the Gordon Oaks Red Bear Student Center, communicating, including scheduling and organizing calendars; reviewing, prioritizing, and responding to inquiries; organizing documents; and any other administrative tasks. Tamara has always had a strong commitment to her Metis heritage and continues learning about traditions and cultural teachings through Elders and knowledge keepers. She is also driven by her role as a mother to her four children, wanting them to see the joy of being a lifelong learner and her commitment to her culture.
