Are you curious about navigating your relationship with alcohol, drugs, or addictive behaviors like technology use and gambling? Looking for harm reduction tips for yourself or a loved one? Hoping to build a supportive community on campus? Peer Health's Harm Reduction team is hosting a weekly peer support meeting (with homemade baked treats!) to provide a judgment-free space to talk about all this and more! Meet us at Peer Health (Marquis 104) each Thursday by 3:30pm - we will then move to a more private space to chat about how to manage substance use and addictive behaviors. This meeting is provided by students, for students, and open to all - no registration required :)
Peer Health’s Harm Reduction Team works to support students at any stage of their journey to make safer choices around substance use and addictive behaviours like gambling, gaming, and self-harm. Harm Reduction is about reducing the risk associated with inherently risky behaviors - we take a nonjudgmental stance and focus on autonomy. Aside from spreading awareness and providing naloxone training, our team also directly supports students in defining and working towards their wellness goals!
Peer Health USask is a Student Wellness Centre (SWC) initiative and run by student staff and volunteers. All students have Peer Health volunteer training. All programs have the support of SWC professional staff.
