Bursaries
October 1st is the deadline to apply for most bursaries offered by the university. Bursaries are usually given to students in financial need, though some bursaries may have additional criteria. Recipients will be notified by early February.

Scholarships
June 1st is the deadline for a large number of scholarships on campus. Scholarships are normally granted for academic achievement or leadership experiences. Recipients will be notified by the first day of classes.

| Eligibility: | Open to students in their second year who are pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree. To be eligible, students must submit a statement of no more than two pages outlining involvement in extracurricular sports and involvement in social and other SESS activities. |
| Selection criteria: | A list of applicants who are academically eligible for awards will be provided to the SESS each year. SESS will recommend a candidate based upon their contribution to extracurricular sports and involvement in social and other SESS activities. The recommended candidate will then be passed to the Award Committee for final consideration. Preference will be given to students who are active volunteers for the planning and/or implementation of SPECTRUM events. |
