Bursaries
October 1st is the deadline to apply for most bursaries offered by the university. Bursaries are usually given to students in financial need, though some bursaries may have additional criteria. Recipients will be notified by early February.

Scholarships
June 1st is the deadline for a large number of scholarships on campus. Scholarships are normally granted for academic achievement or leadership experiences. Recipients will be notified by the first day of classes.

| Eligibility: | Open to the best all-round second year resident in the Family Medicine Rural Residency Training program with financial need who plans to live and work in a rural Saskatchewan community for at least two years, as determined by the Award Committee. |
| Selection criteria: | Selection of the award recipients will be determined by the Award Committee, in consultation with instructors at the rural training sites. The committee will assess academic achievement and demonstrated skills in Rural Family Medicine, including their work with patients and their families, colleagues, and communities. This award is to recognize a resident with the aptitude to deal with the entire treatment of the ill patients and their family, not just the initial assessment, stabilization and transport care (comprehensive and continuity Family Medicine care). |
