Bursaries

October 1st is the deadline to apply for most bursaries offered by the university. Bursaries are usually given to students in financial need, though some bursaries may have additional criteria. Recipients will be notified by early February.

Scholarships

June 1st is the deadline for a large number of scholarships on campus. Scholarships are normally granted for academic achievement or leadership experiences. Recipients will be notified by the first day of classes.

The Honourable Donald Alexander McNiven Prize in Political Studies

Number offered: 1
Eligibility: Open to students graduating from the College of Arts & Science with a major in Political Studies or focusing on the science of government. Applicants must be students in Political Studies, Public Administration or International Studies who have taken at least thirty-six credit units of course work in Political Studies. Students graduating at Fall Convocation will be considered in the following spring. Selection will be based on the strongest academic record as determined by the cumulative percentage average in all Political Studies courses taken.

Donor: The late Solomon Jack Safian, B.A.'38, LL.B.'41, a long-time Regina lawyer, in memory of the Hon. Donald Alexander McNiven who died while serving as a judge of the Court of Appeal of Saskatchewan in July, 1961.
