Bursaries

October 1st is the deadline to apply for most bursaries offered by the university. Bursaries are usually given to students in financial need, though some bursaries may have additional criteria. Recipients will be notified by early February.

Scholarships

June 1st is the deadline for a large number of scholarships on campus. Scholarships are normally granted for academic achievement or leadership experiences. Recipients will be notified by the first day of classes.

Edith May Forrest Student Award for Nursing

Eligibility: Open to students entering their second year of the four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at the University of Saskatchewan. Preference will be given to applicants whose hometown is in the area of Loreburn, SK (postal code area S0H 2S0)Applicants must have:
  • received their high school education outside of Saskatoon or Regina.
  • achieved an entrance average of 75%
  • demonstrated significant community involvement, particularly volunteer involvement in health care
Applicants must submit:
  1. a letter outlining their community involvement, particularly their volunteer involvement in healthcare; and
  2. two letters of support from teachers or other leaders in the community that underline the student's community involvement.
Selection criteria: Academic achievement, financial need, and community involvement.
