Bursaries

October 1st is the deadline to apply for most bursaries offered by the university. Bursaries are usually given to students in financial need, though some bursaries may have additional criteria. Recipients will be notified by early February.

Scholarships

June 1st is the deadline for a large number of scholarships on campus. Scholarships are normally granted for academic achievement or leadership experiences. Recipients will be notified by the first day of classes.

Dr. Peter Tadros Medical Student Bursary

Eligibility: Open to all students pursuing a Doctor of Medicine undergraduate degree at the University of Saskatchewan, in any program year.

In order to be eligible, candidates must:
  • submit a letter of no more than two pages outlining their future plans in medicine
  • demonstrate financial need
  • -have attained a minimum 75% cumulative average in their previous course work, whether in the College of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan, or in another undergraduate program within the University of Saskatchewan, or other post-secondary institution.
