Bursaries

October 1st is the deadline to apply for most bursaries offered by the university. Bursaries are usually given to students in financial need, though some bursaries may have additional criteria. Recipients will be notified by early February.

Scholarships

June 1st is the deadline for a large number of scholarships on campus. Scholarships are normally granted for academic achievement or leadership experiences. Recipients will be notified by the first day of classes.

Weisdorff Annual Award in Nursing

Value: $2,500
Number offered: One or more
Eligibility: Open to full time students in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program (years 2-4) and the Post-Degree Bachelor of Science in Nursing program in the College of Nursing.

To be eligible, applicants must:
  • Be a resident of Saskatchewan or the Canadian Territories (Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut). To be considered a resident, the applicant must have lived in Saskatchewan and/or the Canadian Territories for three years immediately preceding the year in which the applicant is applying.
  • Demonstrate financial need. Applicants are welcome to provide a statement of a maximum of 500 words that provides additional context to their need, which may include the challenges they face, or have overcome, in their pursuit of post-secondary education.
  • Minimum program average of 70%.
Selection criteria: Based on financial need and any personal statement submitted.
Donor: A gift from Charles and Nancy Weisdorff, inspired by the dedication and compassion of the 6th floor nurses at St. Paul’s Hospital, Saskatoon, SK.
