Bursaries

October 1st is the deadline to apply for most bursaries offered by the university. Bursaries are usually given to students in financial need, though some bursaries may have additional criteria. Recipients will be notified by early February.

Scholarships

June 1st is the deadline for a large number of scholarships on campus. Scholarships are normally granted for academic achievement or leadership experiences. Recipients will be notified by the first day of classes.

College of Medicine Class of 1973 Bursary

Value: $2,500
Number offered: One
Eligibility: Open to students pursuing a Doctor of Medicine degree in the College of Medicine who have demonstrated financial need.
Selection criteria: Financial need
Donor: The College of Medicine Class of 1973 in celebration of their 50th anniversary.
For students entering the College of Medicine, 1968 marked a year of precedent, advancement, and expense. With the College of Medicine piloting a 5-year option for the medical degree program, those graduating as part of the Class of 1973 not only received an additional year of medical training but inherently, they were also the first cohort to incur the tuition expense of a fifth year of study.
Alumni of the College of Medicine Class of 1973, wish to give back to students pursuing a Doctor of Medicine degree to relieve the financial pressures mutually felt by students of year past, present and future.
