Bursaries

October 1st is the deadline to apply for most bursaries offered by the university. Bursaries are usually given to students in financial need, though some bursaries may have additional criteria. Recipients will be notified by early February.

Scholarships

June 1st is the deadline for a large number of scholarships on campus. Scholarships are normally granted for academic achievement or leadership experiences. Recipients will be notified by the first day of classes.

Award for Ukrainian Art in Alberta (ACUA)

Value: $500
Eligibility: This award is available annually to any qualified applicant (individual or group) who, through an exhibit, tour, festival, educational program or special project, fosters a greater awareness of Ukrainian art in Alberta.

Works in progress and/or recently completed works will be considered.

Applicants must submit a portfolio and/or visual or audio sample of the Ukrainian art being promoted, along with a written proposal outlining the intended exhibit, tour, festival, educational program or special project, and a budget as requested in the application form.

Limit one submission per applicant. If a particular project/proposal was previously submitted and chosen as an award recipient, that project is not eligible to re-apply.

Successful applicants must acknowledge the assistance of the Alberta Council for the Ukrainian Arts in all promotional materials and productions of the project for which the award is granted.

Award recipients must submit a brief, written report to ACUA (via URDC) within one year of receiving this award. A copy of the finished product, if applicable, (i.e., program/video/publication/CD) should be sent to ACUA c/o the Ukrainian Resource and Development Centre (see address below).
