Indigenous Student Services Manager, Gordon Oakes Red Bear Student Centre

Lori Ann Delorme is a Métis woman born and raised in Cochin, Saskatchewan, and has spent 28 years at the University of Saskatchewan, with her entire career based at the Gordon Oakes Red Bear Student Centre (formerly the Aboriginal Students’ Centre). Her strong Métis identity and lived experience inform her deep commitment to supporting Indigenous students, driving her passion for creating inclusive, culturally grounded environments where students can thrive academically, personally, socially and culturally.

As Indigenous Student Services Manager, Lori collaborates with university partners to develop, implement, and evaluate services that support Indigenous student success and engagement. Her work includes transition strategies, ongoing academic and personal support such as monthly check-ins, tutoring, academic workshops, and wellness initiatives like Fitness 4U, nutrition and food security programs, and student recreation teams. A strong advocate for lifelong learning, Lori is also committed to her own professional development and staying current with best practices in the field.

Tamara Kenney-Sharpe
Gordon Oakes Red Bear Student Centre

Tamara was born and raised in Saskatoon, SK with ties to Ile-a-la-crosse, SK. She was raised in a traditional Métis home with a large family. Tamaras education consists of qualifications from the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies and is currently enrolled in the College of Edwards School of Business at the University of Saskatchewan. Tamara has built her career around helping others, where she has focused on building meaningful relationships and creating a positive, safe environment. Her work consists of being the welcoming face of the Gordon Oaks Red Bear Student Center, communicating, including scheduling and organizing calendars; reviewing, prioritizing, and responding to inquiries; organizing documents; and any other administrative tasks. Tamara has always had a strong commitment to her Metis heritage and continues learning about traditions and cultural teachings through Elders and knowledge keepers. She is also driven by her role as a mother to her four children, wanting them to see the joy of being a lifelong learner and her commitment to her culture.

Dallas Pelly
Director, Gordon Oakes Red Bear Student Centre

Dallas Pelly (he/him) is a proud Saulteaux and nehiyaw with roots in Cote First Nation and Beardy’s & Okemasis Cree Nation. He is a proud USask alumnus and graduate of the Indian Teacher Education Program (ITEP). His professional journey includes working within Indigenous education including roles with Saskatoon Tribal Council, TakingITGlobal, Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT), and most recently the Canadian Light Source. These experiences have shaped his leadership philosophy and strengthened his commitment to fostering culturally grounded, student-centered learning environments.

In his role as Director, Dallas provides strategic leadership and direction for the Gordon Oakes Red Bear Student Centre which offers academic and social supports, cultural programming, and wellness initiatives, all with the shared goal of supporting Indigenous student success. Dallas takes pride in building partnerships across campus and working closely with Elders, Knowledge Keepers, students, and colleagues.

Outside of work, Dallas is a proud husband and father to three young boys.

Rebecca Tootoosis
Indigenous Cultural Coordinator, Gordon Oakes Red Bear Student Centre

Rebecca Tootoosis is a proud Nêhiyaw Iskwew (Cree woman) from Saddle Lake Cree Nation. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce and is a graduate of the Edwards School of Business, where she developed strong leadership, coordination, and relationship-building skills that guide her work today. Rebecca serves as the Indigenous Cultural Coordinator at the Gordon Oakes Red Bear Student Centre, supporting Indigenous students through programming, cultural engagement, and student advocacy. She is passionate about creating safe, welcoming spaces where students can build community and explore their strengths. Rooted in her values and identity, Rebecca continues to reconnect with her cultural teachings. She participates in ceremonies, learns from Knowledge Keepers and Elders, and integrates these teachings into her personal life and the work she does with students. A strong advocate for lifelong learning, Lori is committed to her own professional development and actively pursues opportunities to stay at the forefront of best practices and industry trends.
