Title of event: Road to Wellness: Yoga with Drawing
Come feel the benefits of a whole body drawing and movement experience that soothes and regulates the nervous system. Bilateral drawing works to bring ease to both hemispheres of the brain and yoga is a practice of steadiness and balance for our mind, body, and spirit.
Sonal is a consultant and speaker who facilitates personal professional development of educators and leaders in school and health systems. Her work is based on cultivating deep relational presence through awareness-based teaching and learning experiences. Her master’s research thesis explored teacher and youth identity, belonging, and well-being to foster compassionate culture. Sonal’s vision sees steadiness, joy, and holistic health for all. After teaching in her own classroom for several years, she has shared strategies for well-being in K-12 schools, collaborated in university initiatives, and worked closely with non-profit organizations. Sonal is a leadership coach and a certified facilitator of trauma-sensitive mindfulness meditation and yoga. Her leadership studies include training with Margaret Wheatley, the Presencing Institute, and Demers Group.

Title of event: Road to Wellness: Working with Clay
Working with oven bake polymer clay, participants explore creation through sensory inputs. Working with one's hands we explore how using our physical body affects our emotional states. Together with one another we share and discuss our creations.

Title of event: Road to Wellness: Drumming in Group
This intro to drumming will teach basic beats to help individuals feel comfortable with an instrument of their choice. Utilizing mindfulness and rhythm based exercises participants will explore music and sound with others.

Title of event: Road to Wellness: Explore Textiles
Join us to explore a variety of textile materials and create something based on a given prompt. This activity explores our sensory relationship with materials as well as the expressive nature of object creation.
