Join a webinar with Associate Deputy Minister Michael Mills with Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), on building a career in the federal public service. This exclusive event is open to all USask students, particularly those interested in government and public administration.

Having grown up in Saskatchewan, Michael will discuss his career trajectory, the pivotal moments that shaped his professional journey, and provide practical advice on how students can prepare for a career in government, including developing networking strategies and navigating the hiring process. Students can ask questions and hear about the realities of working in the public sector.
Michael is the Deputy Minister Champion within the Federal Public Service for the University of Saskatchewan and the University of Regina. He holds a master of arts in Economics from Queen’s University as well as a bachelor of arts in political science and economics from the University of Regina. Since December 2023, he has served as Associate Deputy Minister at PSPC, following previous roles including Associate Assistant Deputy Minister of both the Procurement and Real Property branches, and as Vice-President and Director at Public-Private Partnerships Canada.
