National Cancer Institute of Canada Awards - Research Studentships

EligibilityThe National Cancer Institute of Canada offers a limited number of Research Studentships (supported by The Terry Fox Foundation and the Canadian Cancer Society) to outstanding PhD students who plan a career in cancer research in Canada.
Any investigator proposing human embryonic stem cell research must contact the NCIC prior to submitting an application.

At the time of application, applicants must be residents of Canada, engaged in a full-time PhD program at a Canadian institution, and have completed at least two years of research training at the graduate level or have equivalent research experience. Summer student positions, undergraduate summer studentships and honours level research do not qualify.

The present value of all Studentships is $22,500 per annum. The NCIC’s stipend scale is subject to annual review. Payments will be made in quarterly installments (July, October, January and April).
