Bursaries
October 1st is the deadline to apply for most bursaries offered by the university. Bursaries are usually given to students in financial need, though some bursaries may have additional criteria. Recipients will be notified by early February.

Scholarships
June 1st is the deadline for a large number of scholarships on campus. Scholarships are normally granted for academic achievement or leadership experiences. Recipients will be notified by the first day of classes.

| Number offered: | One annual prize of $1,000 for the best public speaking performance, and an additional 10 annual prizes of $25.00 each (gift cards) for a connected trivia contest. |
| Eligibility: | All students registered in an undergraduate program at the University of Saskatchewan who have completed RCM 300 are eligible to apply to the competition. To be eligible, students must submit their speech stategy report, a completed competition form, and a recommendation from their RCM 300 instructor. A final pool of six students will be chosen based upon the merits of the submitted reports and instructor recommendations. |
| Selection criteria: | The $1,000 prize will go to the student judged to have delivered the best public speaking performance, as determined by the Award Committee. The additional 10 prizes of $25.00 each (gift cards) will be selected during "Rhetoric trivia" in between when the contest ends and when the judges declare a winner of the best public speaking performance prize. |
