Bursaries

October 1st is the deadline to apply for most bursaries offered by the university. Bursaries are usually given to students in financial need, though some bursaries may have additional criteria. Recipients will be notified by early February.

Scholarships

June 1st is the deadline for a large number of scholarships on campus. Scholarships are normally granted for academic achievement or leadership experiences. Recipients will be notified by the first day of classes.

Canada-CARICOM Leadership Scholarships Program

Value: $7,500 CAD for undergraduate and college students for a period of four months of study and research
Eligibility: Students must be citizens of one of the following countries: Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Montserrat, Saint Kitt's, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos.

  • Candidates must be citizens of one of the eligible countries. Anyone who has obtained Canadian citizenship, who has applied or is planning to apply for permanent residency in Canada is not eligible for this scholarship.
  • Candidates must be enrolled full-time at a foreign institution in an eligible country and paying tuition fees at their home institution for the full duration of the exchange.
  • Candidates already participating in an exchange program in Canada are not eligible.
  • Candidates already enrolled to a degree program at a Canadian university or college are not eligible.
  • Candidates should be proficient in either English or French.
