Bursaries
October 1st is the deadline to apply for most bursaries offered by the university. Bursaries are usually given to students in financial need, though some bursaries may have additional criteria. Recipients will be notified by early February.

Scholarships
June 1st is the deadline for a large number of scholarships on campus. Scholarships are normally granted for academic achievement or leadership experiences. Recipients will be notified by the first day of classes.

Morley Wood Memorial Scholarship for Aboriginal Female Students

| Eligibility: | Awarded annually to Saskatchewan aboriginal women to promote entry or advancement in their chosen program of studies at the University of Regina, University of Saskatchewan, or other post-secondary institutions in Saskatchewan with recognized professional standing. The contribution made by the individual in promoting aboriginal women, financial need, and academic standing are taken into consideration as follows: a) The applicant's contribution in promoting aboriginal women will be assessed. The Scholarship Review Committee will look specifically at the individual's contribution in community-based or regional aboriginal projects or programs which support the literacy, awareness, or development of the economic independence of aboriginal women. Information on the applicant's contribution in promoting aboriginal women must be provided with the application. b) The program of studies being followed must enhance the professional skills of the applicant to promote further development in the aboriginal community, specifically for aboriginal women. c) Financial need. d) A minimum weighted percentage average of 70%. The Scholarship will be payable in the Fall Semester. The recipient must be registered for full-time studies (at least 12 credit hours) in the Fall Semester. |
