Dr. Gerhard Herzberg Memorial Scholarship in Chemistry

Value: $5,000 plus reimbursement for expenses incurred in moving to Saskatoon to a maximum of $3,000.
Eligibility: The award is restricted to students who have been awarded an NSERC PGS or CGS Scholarship and are enrolled in a Chemistry graduate program at the University of Saskatchewan. Note that NSERC PGS and CGS scholars also receive $6,000 from the College of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. Both awards are renewable for each year that the NSERC scholarship is held.
Donor: Dr. Herzberg, Nobel Laureate in Chemistry (1971), was a faculty member in the Department of Physics, 1935-1945. This scholarship arises from the Herzberg Fund, established with funds donated by Dr. Herzberg, the Herzberg family, Dr. G. Russel Walker, and by friends and colleagues of Dr. Herzberg.
