Brian Dale Goodchild Award in Engineering

Number offered:

Four awards at $4,250 each, with a $4,250 renewable award available for one further year pending satisfactory academic performance.

Eligibility:

Open to entering part time or full-time graduate engineering students enrolling in graduate programs in the College of Engineering.

Applicants must demonstrate financial need and submit a statement of no more than two pages detailing:

  • how this award will empower them to enter the College of Engineering as a graduate student and any obstacles they had overcome to arrive;
  • how they hope to use their engineering education for social good; ex., supporting people in under-served communities; to remove barriers to help them achieve their aspiration.
Selection criteria:

Selection will be based upon the merits of the written submissions (75%) as determined by the Award Committee and financial need (25%).
