Bursaries

October 1st is the deadline to apply for most bursaries offered by the university. Bursaries are usually given to students in financial need, though some bursaries may have additional criteria. Recipients will be notified by early February.

Scholarships

June 1st is the deadline for a large number of scholarships on campus. Scholarships are normally granted for academic achievement or leadership experiences. Recipients will be notified by the first day of classes.

  • Certificate and recognition at the annual STLHE conference in June
  • Letter from STLHE President and 3M Canada to their identified institutional leader and to the individual awarded
  • STLHE membership for two years
  • Conference registration, travel to conference, and accommodations
  • $2,000 to be spent at the discretion of the recipient

Ritenburg Family Foundation Bursary in Engineering October 1 $3,500 a year for up to 4 years
Saskatchewan Youth from Care Bursary This award is open until June 1. The value of the award is comprised of the following:
  • total tuition and fees for the fall and winter terms
  • cost of living needs based on the amount designated by current Saskatchewan Student Aid as the allowable living costs of a ‘single student living away from home’,
  • cost of books and supplies for a student’s enrolled program based on the yearly program information from the USask Registrar’s office,
  • an additional $1,000 in the first year of the award as support for initial expenses related to beginning a post-secondary program.
Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW) Saskatoon Inc. Scholarships $2,500
Bates Award for Excellence in Extended Practicum The first business day of February” for students completing their extended practicum in Fall; or “the last business day of April” for students completing their extended practicum in Winter term. Not applicable
