These sessions will provide a safe and inviting space where you will learn vital coping skills to help empower your academic success and enhance your mental health and wellness with effective strategies.

  • Session 1: Introduction (Jan. 10)
  • Session 2: Roots (Jan. 17)
    The Root component represents international students' backgrounds, encompassing their family's journey to a new country, origins, family name and ancestral heritage.
  • Session 3: Ground (Jan. 24)
    The Ground component symbolizes their current living situation in a foreign land.
  • Session 4: Trunk (Jan. 31)
    The Trunk represents the strengths and talents international students have honed while acclimatizing to a new culture.
  • Session 5: Branches (Feb. 07)
    Branches encapsulate the hopes, dreams, and aspirations international students harbour throughout their international expedition.
  • Session 6: Leaves (Feb. 14)
    Leaves signify the pivotal individuals in their international odyssey who have bestowed unwavering support, affection, and encouragement.
  • Session 7: Fruits (Feb. 28)
    Fruits are a testament to the bountiful gifts international students have received from their international sojourns.
  • Session 8: Outsider witnessing (March 6)
    Goal is to foster empathy and understanding by having participants share their stories, allowing for a deeper connection within the group.
  • Session 9: Storms (March 13)
  • Session 10: Storms (March 20)
  • Session 11: Storms (March 27)
    Sessions 9-11 will provide a safe and inviting space for international students to discuss their challenges candidly, illuminate the strategies they have employed to overcome adversity, and joyously celebrate their growth and achievements.
  • Session 12: Celebrations (April 03)
    Celebration of growth and achievements

The program consists of twelve sessions, each meticulously tailored around a specific aspect of the Tree of Life framework.
