Title of event: Road to Wellness: Working with Clay

Working with oven bake polymer clay, participants explore creation through sensory inputs. Working with one's hands we explore how using our physical body affects our emotional states. Together with one another we share and discuss our creations. 

Emily (she/her) holds a Bachelor of Social Work degree through the University of Regina as well as completing both a Bachelor of Fine Arts Honours and a Bachelor of Art History degree from the University of Saskatchewan. Emily is an interdisciplinary artist who has developed a figurative practice in painting, drawing, installation sculpture and relational projects. She was raised and currently resides on Treaty 6 Territory, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, having Ukrainian and Croatian ancestry. Her artistic focus is on the human condition and exploring inter-connection between the physical and the emotional body in relationship. 


All USask students are welcome! Free. No sign-up is required.

Title of event:  Road to Wellness: Drumming in Group

This intro to drumming will teach basic beats to help individuals feel comfortable with an instrument of their choice. Utilizing mindfulness and rhythm based exercises participants will explore music and sound with others.

Title of event:  Road to Wellness: Explore Textiles

Join us to explore a variety of textile materials and create something based on a given prompt. This activity explores our sensory relationship with materials as well as the expressive nature of object creation.
