In today's world, there is too much information to consume, which mostly surrounds very heavy topics. When thinking about how It feels to discuss heavy topics, instant fear comes to mind. Therefore, group projects and communications seem like the obvious resolution, and what better platform to tackle this collective issue than to start a social podcast? I asked around whether they read the University News Letter. Not one said that they do.
So, I thought, why not address the University News, combat social differences, and have fun all while learning morals and similarities? We can only work with things we know, and we know the university student demographic best.
A new episode will be posted every Friday at noon.

This group was developed based on social-emotional learning (SEL). SEL skills like empathy, teamwork, and self-regulation have been shown to lead to academic success, better workplace performance, and improved overall well-being. By incorporating SEL, we can offer students the tools to thrive in all areas of their lives.
Your hosts, Ashley, Alex, and Chelsea, are students like yourself who are genuinely interested in tackling hard topics and learning from the experiences, opinions, and culture students encounter, research, or hear about. We believe this platform and its uplifting purpose can and will make positive changes for the student peer health population.

Peer Health USask is a Student Wellness Centre (SWC) initiative and run by student staff and volunteers. All students have Peer Health volunteer training.  All programs have the support of SWC professional staff.
