Bursaries

October 1st is the deadline to apply for most bursaries offered by the university. Bursaries are usually given to students in financial need, though some bursaries may have additional criteria. Recipients will be notified by early February.

Scholarships

June 1st is the deadline for a large number of scholarships on campus. Scholarships are normally granted for academic achievement or leadership experiences. Recipients will be notified by the first day of classes.

RBC Student Leadership Recognition Award

Value: $1,500
Number offered: 1
Eligibility: Open to undergraduate and graduate students in degree and diploma programs at the University of Saskatchewan who have participated in a leadership role. This includes but is not limited to experiences such as serving as a club executive, tutor Teaching Assistant, peer mentor, and SURE program. Off campus leadership initiatives are accepted including but not limited to experiences such as serving as program leader in a community organization, advocate, or event organizer.

To be eligible, students must submit a 2-4 minute video or a 750-1000 word written testimonial, demonstrating their commitment to developing and applying 21st-century career readiness skills for a rapidly evolving job market through their role as a leader. Students are asked to speak to how they made conscious efforts to apply what they learned to grow their career readiness skills and reflect on how they have grown/ developed personally and/or professionally. A reference letter validating a student’s involvement as a leader may be required.
Selection criteria: Based on the merits of the submitted video or testimonial.
