Bursaries

October 1st is the deadline to apply for most bursaries offered by the university. Bursaries are usually given to students in financial need, though some bursaries may have additional criteria. Recipients will be notified by early February.

Scholarships

June 1st is the deadline for a large number of scholarships on campus. Scholarships are normally granted for academic achievement or leadership experiences. Recipients will be notified by the first day of classes.

Did you do well in your classes? Consider applying for scholarships.

Thomas Fraser and Darren Gatrell Memorial Scholarship

Value: Varies, up to $4,000
Number offered: One or more
Eligibility: Open to third- and fourth-year undergraduate students in the Regional and Urban Planning program who have completed a paper on the topic of planning in northern Canada (north of the 53rd parallel).
Selection criteria: Based on the merits of the paper, academic achievement, and demonstrated involvement in community activities.
Donor: Family, friends and colleagues in memory of Thomas Fraser (B.A. '76) and Darren Gatrell (B.A. '92). Messrs. Fraser and Gatrell were Community Planners with the department of Municipal Government in Prince Albert. They died in a tragic plane accident following a meeting in Sandy Bay, SK., on October 12, 1993.
