Bursaries
October 1st is the deadline to apply for most bursaries offered by the university. Bursaries are usually given to students in financial need, though some bursaries may have additional criteria. Recipients will be notified by early February.

Scholarships
June 1st is the deadline for a large number of scholarships on campus. Scholarships are normally granted for academic achievement or leadership experiences. Recipients will be notified by the first day of classes.

Eligibility: | Offered annually to a full-time second- or third-year student enrolled in the College of Kinesiology or majoring in Physical Education within the College of Education. To be eligible the student must be highly regarded by their peers as a dedicated scholar, a motivated and conscientious athlete, and an individual with high moral character devoted in the concerns for their fellow man. Selection will be made by a committee appointed by the Dean of the College of Kinesiology. |

Donor: | Established in memory of Dr. Gordon Garvie, an internationally respected athlete, coach and scholar in the University of Saskatchewan, College of Physical Education. Gord died prematurely of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (Lou Gehrig's disease). In his memory, friends and colleagues have established this Scholarship to assist student athletes in furthering their education. |
