Bursaries

October 1st is the deadline to apply for most bursaries offered by the university. Bursaries are usually given to students in financial need, though some bursaries may have additional criteria. Recipients will be notified by early February.

Scholarships

June 1st is the deadline for a large number of scholarships on campus. Scholarships are normally granted for academic achievement or leadership experiences. Recipients will be notified by the first day of classes.

Arthur Silver Morton Memorial Travel Scholarship

Value: Varies, approximately $1,000
Number offered: 1 or 2
Eligibility: Offered annually to students who have completed a degree or at least three full years of university study concentrating in History, Anthropology, Political Studies or Indigenous Studies. The scholarships are to be used to assist the recipients in meeting the expenses of travel connected with a program of research.
Donor: The Saskatoon Arts and Craft Society in memory of Vivian Williams Morton (B.A. '17, L.L.D. '62), co-founder of the Arts and Crafts Society and her husband Arthur Silver Morton, University of Saskatchewan's first Librarian (1914-40), Professor of History, and Head of the Department of History.
