Bursaries

October 1st is the deadline to apply for most bursaries offered by the university. Bursaries are usually given to students in financial need, though some bursaries may have additional criteria. Recipients will be notified by early February.

Scholarships

June 1st is the deadline for a large number of scholarships on campus. Scholarships are normally granted for academic achievement or leadership experiences. Recipients will be notified by the first day of classes.

Eric Whiting Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility: Awarded annually to undergraduate students who have completed at least two years of study and are entering their third or fourth year of the B.Sc. degree program in Biology. Selection will be based on academic standing with documented extra-curricular activity in Biology and/or the environment as exemplified by membership and participation in the activities of Biological Societies, wildlife programs, research activities or other endeavors of such nature as determined by the Department of Biology.
Selection criteria: Academic standing and extra-curricular activity in Biology and/or the environment
Donor: Faculty, staff and students of the Department of Biology, and family and friends of the late Eric Whiting in honour of his accomplishments in Biology and commitment to teaching.
