Bursaries

October 1st is the deadline to apply for most bursaries offered by the university. Bursaries are usually given to students in financial need, though some bursaries may have additional criteria. Recipients will be notified by early February.

Scholarships

June 1st is the deadline for a large number of scholarships on campus. Scholarships are normally granted for academic achievement or leadership experiences. Recipients will be notified by the first day of classes.

EligibilityOpen to students who have completed two years of study at the University of Saskatchewan in a health science related program and are continuing study in a health science related program, excluding students applying to or enrolled in Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Medicine programs.

Candidates must submit:
  • one letter of reference from a relevant supervisor, coach or teacher demonstrating the candidate's commitment to the community (either volunteerism, sports activities or other community interests);

    OR

  • one letter of reference from a relevant supervisor indicating the candidate's work activities and experience related to their chosen area of study within the health sciences.
  • a personal letter of no more than two pages describing their personal interest and commitment to - and their intent to pursue a career in - their chosen field of study within the health sciences; and how they demonstrate and value community involvement and interests beyond their chosen health sciences field.
