Bursaries

October 1st is the deadline to apply for most bursaries offered by the university. Bursaries are usually given to students in financial need, though some bursaries may have additional criteria. Recipients will be notified by early February.

Scholarships

June 1st is the deadline for a large number of scholarships on campus. Scholarships are normally granted for academic achievement or leadership experiences. Recipients will be notified by the first day of classes.

Jean Klymyshyn Meenaghan Entrance Bursary in Nursing

Value: Approximate value of tuition and fees for a full course load, renewable up to three times.
Number offered: 1
Eligibility: Open to students entering the College of Arts and Science. To be eligible, applicants must:
  1. Have an entrance average of 80%.
  2. Be a graduate from a Saskatchewan high school and have attended high school in Saskatchewan for the majority of their high school education.
  3. submit a letter (max one page) describing why they wish to choose nursing as a career.
  4. Provide evidence of financial need.
Selection criteria: Financial need, and the merits of the submitted statement.
Donor: In honour of Jean Klymyshyn Meenaghan (Nursing Diploma '57) on her 80th birthday. Jim and Jean Meenaghan believe in the value of education and understand that not everyone can afford tuition. They wish to support a nursing student who has an aptitude for compassionate nursing care, exceeds academically, but is struggling to afford tuition.
