Bursaries

October 1st is the deadline to apply for most bursaries offered by the university. Bursaries are usually given to students in financial need, though some bursaries may have additional criteria. Recipients will be notified by early February.

Scholarships

June 1st is the deadline for a large number of scholarships on campus. Scholarships are normally granted for academic achievement or leadership experiences. Recipients will be notified by the first day of classes.

Global Engagement Scholarship

Value: $1,000
Number offered: Varies
Eligibility: Open to full or part-time undergraduate and graduate students in degree programs who have completed at least one year of study at the University of Saskatchewan. To be eligible, applicants must:
  • participate in academic studey abroad programs or academically focused activities recognized by their college as having significant learning outcomes beneficial to the student's studies
    • travel in the academic year when they receive the scholarship
      • scholarships will not be granted retroactively
        • travel for a maximum duration of one academic year
Selection criteria: Scholarships are granted on a first-come, first-served basis to eligible students until available funds for the academic year have been exhausted. Students are eligible for one scholarship per academic year.
