Bursaries

October 1st is the deadline to apply for most bursaries offered by the university. Bursaries are usually given to students in financial need, though some bursaries may have additional criteria. Recipients will be notified by early February.

Scholarships

June 1st is the deadline for a large number of scholarships on campus. Scholarships are normally granted for academic achievement or leadership experiences. Recipients will be notified by the first day of classes.

Graham A. Jones Scholarship

Number offered: One
Eligibility: Open to 3rd and 4th year students majoring in Food and Bioproduct Sciences, with a preference for students with a demonstrated interest in microbiology.
Selection criteria: Selection will be based on academic achievement. The Award Committee will give preference in awarding to 3rd or 4th year students with a demonstrated interest in microbiology based on their course work and/or thesis project, as determined by the Award Committee. If in any given year , there are no qualified candidates in the above categories, the award will be made to students majoring in Food and Bioproduct Sciences in their 3rd or 4th year based solely upon academic achievement.
