Bursaries

October 1st is the deadline to apply for most bursaries offered by the university. Bursaries are usually given to students in financial need, though some bursaries may have additional criteria. Recipients will be notified by early February.

Scholarships

June 1st is the deadline for a large number of scholarships on campus. Scholarships are normally granted for academic achievement or leadership experiences. Recipients will be notified by the first day of classes.

Allan P. Isinger Prize in Global Peace and Security

Value: $250
Number offered: One
Eligibility: Open to undergraduate students majoring in Political Studies and International Studies. To be eligible, applicants will be required to submit an essay to the Award Committee on topics related to global peace and/or security. It is the donor's intent that the students submit an essay they have already written for a class and not an original essay specifically for this award.
Selection criteria: Selection will be based upon the respective merits of the submitted essays, as determined by the Award Committee.
Donor: Russell Isinger BA ('88) MA ('97). This Prize has been established in memory of Russell Isinger's father, Allan Isinger, BA (Adv.) ('72) who was a graduate of the Department of Economics and Political Science. Allan Isinger had a lifelong interest in the past and an appreciation for education that he imparted to his family.
Apply: Submit a class essay from the current academic year that relates to global peace and/or security to asg.studentawards@usask.ca in the College of Arts and Science.
