Bursaries

October 1st is the deadline to apply for most bursaries offered by the university. Bursaries are usually given to students in financial need, though some bursaries may have additional criteria. Recipients will be notified by early February.

Scholarships

June 1st is the deadline for a large number of scholarships on campus. Scholarships are normally granted for academic achievement or leadership experiences. Recipients will be notified by the first day of classes.

The Hnatyshyn Foundation Scholarship for Indigenous Students in Drama

Value: $10,000
Number offered: One
Eligibility: Open to continuing students pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Four-year (B.A. Four-year) - Drama, Bachelor of Arts Three-year (B.A. Three-year) - Drama, or Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A. Honours) - Drama in the College of Arts and Science. Preference will be given to students who have completed, or are currently pursuing, a wîcêhtowin Theatre Program certificate.

To be eligible, students must be Indigenous, a Canadian Citizen, and provide Indigenous citizenship/membership verification. Applicants must submit a one-page maximum paper outlining their performing arts career aspirations.
Selection criteria: Academic achievement and the merits of the paper.
Apply: To apply, submit the one-page paper to the Administrative Support Group in the College of Arts of Science asg.studentawards@usask.ca and and visit the PAWS Indigenous Membership/Citizenship Verification channel to proceed through the verification system.
