Bursaries

October 1st is the deadline to apply for most bursaries offered by the university. Bursaries are usually given to students in financial need, though some bursaries may have additional criteria. Recipients will be notified by early February.

Scholarships

June 1st is the deadline for a large number of scholarships on campus. Scholarships are normally granted for academic achievement or leadership experiences. Recipients will be notified by the first day of classes.

Sister Ann O'Brien Scholarship

Value: $1,000 (Full-time students) and $500 (Part-time students)
Number offered: 1
Eligibility: Offered to residents of Saskatchewan registered at a recognized University for studies in a Masters or Doctoral Degree program in Social Work, Psychology or Educational Psychology.  Consideration will also be giben to students who are in the final year of a Bachelor of Social Work program of study. 

Preference will be given to applicants who:

  • indicate a strong preference to work in the province of Saskatchewan in the area of direct human service delivery;
  • demonstrate financial need;
  • have demonstrated superior academic standing or practical experience.
Donor: Friends and family of Sister Ann O'Brien in recognition of her many years of dedicated direct service in the field of social work in Saskatoon.
Apply: Applicants must submit a Curriculum Vitae outlining education, interests, previous experience, university transcripts, and career goals.  In addition, three letters of reference are required and should be addressed directly to the Executive Director by referees.
