October 1st is the deadline to apply for most bursaries offered by the university. Bursaries are usually given to students in financial need, though some bursaries may have additional criteria. Recipients will be notified by early February.

June 1st is the deadline for a large number of scholarships on campus. Scholarships are normally granted for academic achievement or leadership experiences. Recipients will be notified by the first day of classes.

The McGraw-Hill Ryerson Student Scholarship
|Eligibility||Scholarships are available to any full-time undergraduate student currently studying a degree, diploma or certificate at an accredited college or university in Canada during the current academic year: June 1, 2011 - May 31, 2012.|
Applicants will be judged on demonstration of leadership in their course:
1) Integrity - both academic and personal - students who show empathy and respect for others
2) Engagement - the student's overall behaviour and participation has a positive impact on their peers, their professor and success of the class in general
3) Initiative - students who bring new ideas and who critically draw upon the full array of learning resources to achieve a successful outcome

|Apply||Students must be invited by their professor and must be in that professor's class in the year the nomination is submitted. The professor will complete the form using information from the nominated student. The online application form is available on the McGraw-Hill Ryerson website.|
