Bursaries

October 1st is the deadline to apply for most bursaries offered by the university. Bursaries are usually given to students in financial need, though some bursaries may have additional criteria. Recipients will be notified by early February.

Scholarships

June 1st is the deadline for a large number of scholarships on campus. Scholarships are normally granted for academic achievement or leadership experiences. Recipients will be notified by the first day of classes.

Barry Andrew Family Scholarship

Value: $1,500
Number offered: 1
Eligibility:
  • Applicants must have participated in CWA as an exhibitor. Eligible exhibitor activities include all livestock classes, 4-H classes, and active trade exhibit participation.
  • Students must be enrolled in an Agriculture related program in a post-secondary educational institution.
  • The applicant must be applying for a scholarship for their second or subsequent year in a program of at least two years duration.
  • The scholarship shall be used at a recognized post-secondary and graduate educational institution.
  • No applicant is eligible for more than one Barry Andrew Family Scholarship in his/her academic career.
  • Successful scholarship candidates will be contacted directly by CWA by November 15, 2015.
  • There is no age limit for the applicants.
  • Upon selection being made by CWA, $1,500 will be awarded upon proof of academic standing at the end of the first semester. The payment will be disbursed to the applicant’s educational institution.
