Bursaries

October 1st is the deadline to apply for most bursaries offered by the university. Bursaries are usually given to students in financial need, though some bursaries may have additional criteria. Recipients will be notified by early February.

Scholarships

June 1st is the deadline for a large number of scholarships on campus. Scholarships are normally granted for academic achievement or leadership experiences. Recipients will be notified by the first day of classes.

Mattinson Scholarship Program for Students with Disabilities

Eligibility
  • All disciplines are eligible to apply.
  • Must be in second or third year of full-time studies towards a first undergraduate degree.
  • Candidates must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada.
  • Applications are by nomination only. Only one nominee from each of AUCC's member institutions will be accepted.
  • Candidates must be diagnosed with a documented permanent disability* that is the primary disability for which they are applying.
  • Candidates must have a minimum average of 80% over last three terms of available marks.

* "A permanent disability is a permanent functional limitation resulting from a physical, sensory or mental health impairment or a learning disability which affects the ability of the student to perform the activities necessary to participate fully in post-secondary learning".
Selection Criteria
  • Academic performance;
  • Volunteer/community involvement and/or extracurricular activities; and
  • Quality and relevance of the reference letters.
ApplyTo apply, complete an online application at portal.scholarshippartners.ca, and submit it to Universities Canada by May 15. To be considered, an application requires an accompanying Nomination Form, to be provided by the University of Saskatchewan. In order to be nominated, you must submit the completed application form to Student Central by May 1.
