Bursaries

October 1st is the deadline to apply for most bursaries offered by the university. Bursaries are usually given to students in financial need, though some bursaries may have additional criteria. Recipients will be notified by early February.

Scholarships

June 1st is the deadline for a large number of scholarships on campus. Scholarships are normally granted for academic achievement or leadership experiences. Recipients will be notified by the first day of classes.

Did you do well in your classes? Consider applying for scholarships.

Derek Kuffert Memorial Award

Value: $2,000
Number offered: 1
Eligibility: Open to coninuing undergraduate students in any degree program at the College of Agriculture and Bioresources with a major or minor in Soil Science. To be eligible, students must:
  • Submit an essay of 200-300 words demonstrating their commitment to community activities and/or leadership skills.
  • Have a minimum academic average of 70%
Selection criteria: Based first on the merits of their submitted essay and secondly on academic achievement, as determined by the Award Committee.
