Academic support
The Gordon Oakes Red Bear Student Centre is dedicated to supporting the personal, social, cultural and academic success of Indigenous USask students.
Indigenous Student Achievement Pathways (ISAP) provides academic and social programming to build confidence, knowledge and skills. Connect with a community of students, Indigenous peer mentors and dedicated instructors.
The Indigenous Graduate Students' Council (IGSC) exists to represent, serve and support the academic and non-academic needs of Indigenous graduate students within the University of Saskatchewan.
Community and culture
The Gordon Oakes Red Bear Student Centre is an inclusive, intercultural gathering place. Connect with other students, attend activities and access supports. The centre is where students can access Indigenous student services. The centre also provides space to Indigenous student leadership groups.

Learning opportunities
Indigenous Student Employment Readiness Program (ISERP)
The ISERP program, generously supported by Scotiabank's ScotiaRise program, provides a culturally grounded, strengths-based approach to supporting students as they identify, develop and articulate employment-related skills. Each student attends a 33-hour program spanning the fall, winter, or spring term and will receive a $500 honorarium for their participation.
Indigenous Student Internship Program (ISIP)
ISIP is a four-month paid internship for USask Indigenous students aimed at fostering student growth, enhancing self-determination, and providing cultural and land-based experiences. The ISIP is generously supported by the MCF's EleV program and Oyateki; a collaborative initiative that is creating opportunities for Indigenous learners to be full partners in their education and journey to meaningful work.
