George and Arlene Loewen Family Bursaries
|Approx. $5,000 (The specific annual amount will be determined by the Selection Committee, based on the financial resources available.)
|Open to graduate students entering or continuing studies in a doctoral program, in any discipline, in the College of Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies at the University of Saskatchewan.
To be eligible, students must be either residents of Saskatchewan for a minimum of one year or have completed their undergraduate degree at the University of Saskatchewan.
The George and Arlene Loewen Family Bursaries will be available only to students who meet the definition of financial need as defined by the College of Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies.
Renewal Criteria - Students receiving a bursary who continue to demonstrate financial need and academic excellence as determined by the Award Committee will be eligible to have their Bursary renewed for an additional year. The Bursary will only be renewed once. Renewal is not automatic. Students who wish to renew will have to follow the same application procedure as a new applicant.

Apply online. Include a letter stating how this award will be useful. A case for financial need must be demonstrated in the letter (include a list of your revenues and expenses for the 2022-2023 academic year).
