$24,000/year for two years

Number offeredVaries

As outlined in the CGPS policy on Centrally Administered Funding, a student may not hold two major internal institutional scholarships at the same time, or a major institutional scholarship and a major external scholarship.  A major scholarship is defined as equal to or more than $17,500 per year. Top-up awards and honorary scholarships at a reduced value may be combined with major scholarships. It is your responsibility to inform the College of Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies of any such funding that you are receiving.

To be eligible to apply for a Dean's International Doctoral Scholarship, the following conditions must be met:

  • Applicants must be continuing International students in a doctoral-level program at USask as of December 31, 2023.
  • Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 80.00%.
  • Applicants must have completed no more than 24 months in a doctoral program at the time of application.
DonorThis award is funded by centralized strategic graduate financial aid.

In addition to completing the online application, the following attachments will be required:

  • Outline of Proposed Research (2 pages max.)
  • Bibliography (5 pages max.)
  • Canadian Common CV
  • Photocopies of official transcripts from all universities attended (unofficial University of Saskatchewan transcripts will be accepted)
Each application must include two reference assessments. Assessments should be completed by individuals who are familiar enough with your research and/or other abilities that they can provide a meaningful commentary (for example, current or previous academic research supervisor, industrial supervisor, employment/volunteer supervisor, teacher or thesis advisor). Applicants must contact your proposed references to ensure they are willing to complete an online assessment.
