Saskatchewan Innovation & Opportunity Scholarships (SIOS) Signature Area Scholarships

Value: $3,500
Number offered: Approximately 42
Eligibility:

This competition is open to all Master’s students in good standing in a project or thesis degree program. Both Canadian and International students are eligible. 

The applicant:

  • needs to be a currently enrolled student.
  • cannot hold any major awards.
  • must have either an entrance average (if the applicant does not have grades in their current graduate degree program) or a cumulative GPA in their current degree program of at least 80%.

Selection will be based upon the merits of the applicant’s research statement and importance to one of the USask Signature Areas, as stated in the applicant’s research description and the supervisor’s letter of support.

Apply online. The applicant will need to upload the following documents to their application:

  • A brief description of your research and how it falls into one of the Signature Areas (maximum 1 page)
  • A Letter of Support from your supervisor that can support how your research is important to that Signature Area (maximum 1 page)
  • The applicant’s unofficial USask transcripts
